A wireframe or website wireframe is a skeleton image of webpage comprising line drawings and dummy text that works as reference for web designers to give them the idea how different content elements should be arranged while designing the actual page layout. Wireframes can be drawn on a piece of paper, on white boards, or digitally using applications like Mockflow, Balsamiq, Axure, Visio etc.
