What do you mean by 301 Redirect ?

301-redirect is used to redirect users from one URL to another URL. A practical example of it is ww.fb.com automatically redirects users to www.facebook.com. Under Search Engine Optimization (SEO) guidelines, it is recommended to apply a 301-redirect whenever changing a URL in order to keep the traffic to the old URL intact for the website.
