Craviors needed a platform that would act as a mix of ecommerce and food delivery services along with enabling them to deliver meal kits to reach the native Gen-zers and office-goers. For this requirement, they approached FATbit. Their idea was to create a marketplace for the local chefs to deliver tasty, ready to cook meals in order to cater to the healthy food habits of the younger working class in the South East Asian country. Our experts understood the job at hand. Yo!Meals was implemented to create a platform where the Filipinos could come and order ready-to-cooked meals.

As per the International Food Information Council Foundation survey published in 2018 on Food & Health, 78% of consumers were informed by their doctors to bring positive change to their food habits. A major shift was seen among the Filipinos to adopt a healthier lifestyle for their future.

High urbanization, industrialization, and migration has ensured that more people are living in the cities now. A big chunk of these migrators make up for the earning class who like to spend money on food so quality matters to them.
Tasty, ready to cook meals
Increasing demand for convenience food that hits the sweet spot between gratification and convenience is the need of the hour. Time is less and the need for calories to survive the past-paced life is mandatory. Pre-packaged, ready-to-cook meals serve the purpose on all the fronts.
Home cooked is better
than packaged food
Local chefs in the cities are delivering food cooked at home. Demand for home-cooked food is high especially during a pandemic. Whereas packaged food consists of a number of preservatives to keep it edible for a longer duration. It is safer to assume that freshly cooked home food will always topple packaged food for the consumers.
Millennials and Gen-Z

A number of working classes consists of younger generations these days who are away from home but are not too inclined towards junk foods. They would prefer eating at home which makes them a part of a growing heat-and-eat category.

Given the rising population of Gen-Zers in the Philippines major cities, a platform delivering ingredients straight to the doorstep was required. Team Craviors collaborated with the cross-functional team at FATbit technologies to create a solution that not only will take care of the big hole in the market but will add value to it. The solution is Yo!Meals.

The Craviors team has removed the real estate problem from the equation. Their industrial kitchens are rented in a place where landlords struggle to rent out their properties. By getting a great deal at lower rentals, their rent expense is lower by 2-5x as compared to the restaurant industry norms.
Consumer Insights
Team Craviors values feedback and customer insights. Before onboarding a new chef or kitchen, tests are conducted in a few kitchens, which are followed by including them in the distribution channels for soliciting continuous feedback until a consistency is achieved with both the product recipe and economics. Once a strong feedback is received, the chef or the kitchen is scaled to other cities.
