Exit Pop up

What is an exit pop up ?

An exit popup is a popup message that appears when a user attempts to leave a webpage. In online marketing, exit popups are used as the last attempt to make the user stay on a website. In practice, there are two types of exit popups: system exit popup, and designed exit popup.
A system exit pop appears when you are about to quit an unfinished task by closing the browser or navigating away from the webpage. A system exit popup is usually a warning message for the loss of data. For example, you are filling an online form and leaving the page without submitting it.
A designed exit popup is implemented on a website for marketing purposes, and pops up as a user reaches a certain part of a webpage, which is an indication to the system that the user is about to navigate away from the website.
